The publication of the first edition of Human Sectional Anatomy by Butterworth in 1991 set new standards for the quality of cadaver sections and comparative radiological images (at that time, CT only). Bari Logan undertook an extremely detailed and time-consuming task to create these true-colour body sections, the quality of which has not been surpassed by anyone since. The second edition was published in 1999, with the introduction of MRI scans, and was reprinted in 2001 as a paperback pocket version. The two editions sell side-by-side to different parts of the market. The third edition was published in December 2007. The time has come for the third edition of the pocketbook version of this successful publication. The pocketbook edition is identical to the main third edition but reduced in size to 246 x 189 mm. The pocketbook, as with the main edition, retains the original cadaver sections, but is enhanced by updated radiological images (as imaging techniques have improved greatly in the past 5 years), plus additional useful notes. 'I would recommend this book to any student entering medicine'. -- Oxford Medical School Gazette 20110221 'The quality of the illustrations is excellent, the legends complete and well presented. The price is fair for a book including a very high number of full-colour illustrations. This atlas can be recommended unreservedly, to both medical students and young clinicians, in particular radiologists wishing to learn human sectional anatomy.' -- European Radiology 20110221 'An atlas that is both instructive and relevant to the practice of modern medicine. Keenly priced. It will also prove extremely useful for medical students and for those doctors in the surgical and medical subspecialities for which an ever increasing knowledge of radiological anatomy is required.' -- Journal of Anatomy 20110221
