Cab Thesaurus v 2

A search tool for all users of the CAB ABTRSACTS, CAB HEALTH and AGRICOLA databases and related products, this is the "Classified Section". The revised and updated edition of the CAB Thesaurus has been expanded to take in more new prefered terms, relfecting CABI's expanding coverage: contains approximately 59,000 terms; each preferred term displayed with it broader, narrower and related terms; cross-references are provided from non-preferred synonyms; simple and clear distinction between American and British spelling variants is provided; history notes are also included; lists of names of plants, animals and microorganisms improved to incorporate changes in taxonomy; terms neede to index new concepts have been added. It should be of use to users of the CAB ABSTRACTS, CAB HEALTH and AGRICOLA databases, as well as for researchers, information scientists and librarians indexing their own document collections or other information resources. The new classified version should be of particular interest to librarians and information specialists who are interested in the relationships between terms in subject-specific areas. Reference numbers to the classified section are inlcuded within within the alphabetical listing for easy cross-referencing.
