EBOOK Brachial Plexus Palsy
Opis
This book is a monograph about brachial plexus palsy. Severe brachial plexus injuries are often caused by traffic accidents, especially motorcycle accidents. The intercostal nerve transfer to the musculocutaneous nerve is a standard treatment of choice in Japan to reconstruct elbow flexion for brachial plexus palsy with root avulsion. The functional conversion of the nerve transfer is described in detail, using electrophysiological and histochemical studies. This book focuses on birth-related brachial plexus palsy as well as the treatment of brachial plexus injuries in adults.Sample Chapter(s)Foreword (19 KB)Chapter 1: Anatomy of the Brachial Plexus (240 KB)Contents:Anatomy of the Brachial PlexusHistorical Review of the Brachial Plexus PalsyBrachial Plexus PalsyClinical Assessment of the Brachial Plexus LesionNerve Surgery of the Brachial PlexusIntercostal Nerve TransferPain Management of the Brachial Plexus LesionReconstructive Musculoskeletal Surgery of the Paralyzed LimbBrachial Plexus TumorBrachial Plexopathy in Breast CancerBrachial Plexus Surgery in Obstetrical ParalysisReadership: Orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physical therapists and occupational therapists.
