Women of Freedom is a collection of stories about women in the ranks of the OUN and UPA. Women who consciously chose to fight and go underground. Young, full of zest for life, dreams and enthusiasm. People who made history. Who drove the occupiers mad and paid a very high price. Names that we know very little or nothing about. Or we only know what the Soviet authorities imposed on us. The stories about the heroines of the past are complemented by frontline sketches by Mamayka herself. This struggle, which has been going on for two centuries, is not only for territory, but also for souls and meaning. Two centuries one war, one enemy.
