This text has been written as a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including legal and regulatory issues as well as costing procedures. It is aimed at a wide audience ranging from libraries over biotech companies to students and technicians planning to work in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. In addition, the text is well suited for internal training purposes of larger biotech or pharma companies. The author is currently working at Bayer and has longstanding experience in the manufacturing of recombinant proteins for therapeutically purposes.
