Far more than purely technical systems, bandwidth or algorithms, information retrieval is foremost a human issue. Whether to solve problems, learn, communicate, entertain, move, we have a set of more efficient, faster and more mobile technology solutions. But if the technical and technological discoveries are constantly increasing, the main factors explaining the failures fall human factors.This work addresses the information retrieval in digital environments in terms of ergonomic psychology, that is to say, by focusing on the human behaviors, needs, expectations, limits and process mentally . It analyzes the main conceptual models and offers several examples of user - centered studies to understand what are the interests to continue in this way combining psychology and ergonomics.
