A military clique bent on seizing power has invaded the home of elderly twin brothers John and Simon Briggs - one a retired general and former head of the regional government, the other a once highly successful and powerful businessman. The general, war veteran and pragmatic republican, had been responsible for negotiating the country&'s place in a federalized EU&'s scheme of things. Now the plotters want to groom him as a figurehead who can lend respectability to their revisionist plans.
